International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP)The first and most basic requirement for the IBDP is academics, schools in Beijing who provide the IBDP are known for their strict academic standards. Day-Schooler: Most students who want in at an elite university must show an elite high school academic record, typically with their best grades in the most recent classes. This usually means maintaining a GPA at or above 3.5 on a 4.0 scale or the equivalent in other grading systems. In addition, schools may stipulate desired grades in IBDP-related subjects, like math, and the sciences.
Proficiency in English
Since IBDP is in English, the student will need good English. Most Beijing IBDP schools require non-native English speakers to provide standardised test scores that focus on English levels. The general standard tests are the TOEFL and IELTS, with score requirement for each test is usually TOEFL iBT 80 and IELTS 6.0. It guarantees that every student is able to engage in an advanced academic program.
Entrance Test & GD/PI
While the entrance exams are very much part of the admission policy for all the IBDP Schools in Beijing. These tests include the best skills of a candidate in basic courses like maths, science, English, etc. After the errors, applicants also have personal interviews, as well, where schools try and assess an applicant's motivation, extracurricular interests and whether the IBDP is a good fit for him or her and vice versa. Personality and Activities
Admissions decisions are character-based and extracurricular in nature. Candidates who have demonstrated leadership, community service, or are involved in sports or arts are sought after by schools in the UK. Proof of these characteristics can be in the form of letters of recommendation from previous teachers or certificates of exceptional work in any extra-curricular activities, if you have any.
