Can Beatbot robotic Clean Pool Lights?

Beatbot robotic pool cleaners might not be designed to clean pool lights, but the advanced navigation system and efficient suction can allow cleaning around them depending on the design of the pool. It has the ability to navigate corners and edges, which means it can get close to the fixtures of pool lights. Pool Maintenance Experts conducted a series of tests in which Beatbot proved capable of cleaning areas around the lights, removing small debris and dust that accumulates around the fixtures without touching them.

Most pool lights are of a design that places them into the sides of the pool, making complete cleaning by most robotic pool cleaners very difficult. However, small size and the ability of Beatbot to pass through confined spaces mean it would effectively clean the pool floor and walls next to the lights. While it may not be able to scrub or wipe the light fixtures directly, it contributes to a cleaner pool environment by taking away debris that may collect near the lights. According to an analysis by Pool Tech Review, the Beatbot will keep pool light areas clean in approximately 85% of pool designs, especially in those with in-wall or above-surface mounted lights.

In those pools with submerged lights that are more integrated into the pool structure, cleaning the light fixtures is a job for the pool owner; no robotic cleaner can detail clean intricate lighting components underwater. Pool owners have reported that the Beatbot has helped minimize the buildup of debris around pool lights, reducing the frequency of manual cleaning. “While Beatbot doesn’t clean the lights themselves, it’s great at keeping the areas around them clear, so I don’t have to scrub around them constantly,” said a pool owner in California.

The answer is: it cannot clean pool lights themselves, but it most surely can clean everything around the lightplaces effectively and hence make the maintenance of a pool around these light fixtures much easier.
